Welcome to the worlds 5th Oldest Golf Course, golf since 1562 Montrose Golf Links offers a fantastic golfing experience and reliable playing conditions throughout the year. Our classic 1562 course is complimented by our Broomfield course, together they provide an ideal setting for our visitor packages.

Situated on Scotland`s stunning East Coast in the heart of Carnoustie Country half-way between Aberdeen and Dundee. A privileged location, bound by sand, sea and dunes our Links has been a golfing haven for more than 450 years.

A natural Scottish Links with rippled fairways, riveted pot bunkers, cliff-top holes and panoramic views, Montrose is a largely unaltered framed in a pure landscape shaped by the elements!

The 1562 course has a rich history which includes many top-level events. The course has played host to Final Qualifying for The Open Championship on two occasions 1999 and 2007. Televised on Sky Sports as tournament host for the Euro-Pro Scottish Masters another top-level professional event.

These are ancient Links that challenge and charm in equal measure….most recently rated at No.32 in best courses in Scotland by National Club Golfer!
