West Surrey Golf Club located near Godalming, and close to Guildford, is a friendly private members club blessed with one of the finest courses in the South East. The Club was founded in 1910 by a local landowner and businessman, John Eastwood, with the course sited on farmland belonging to Eastwood’s Enton Hall estate.

Following initial design by the noted golf professional, J.H. Taylor, the course was laid out by W.H. Fowler, a leading course architect of his day, who during his career had a hand in the design of some 40 courses in the UK and the USA, most notably The Berkshire and Walton Heath. The Course has been strengthened with careful changes over the last few years through a development plan designed by renowned Course Architect Ken Moodie which has only added to the character.

A warm reception awaits visitors, with the promise of delightful golf in a part of the country where bird and wildlife abound. Set within 220 acres of beautiful Surrey Hills countryside, the 6482 yard Par 71 course 22nd out of Surrey’s 115 golf courses by The boundary of the estate is framed by open farmland running as far as the eye can see and this, combined with no main roads, railway or flightpath, means that peace and tranquillity reign as you enjoy your round. The Course presents an interesting challenge to golfers of all abilities, with tree lined, watered fairways leading to superb sand based USGA standard greens that provide a high quality putting surface all year round.
