Ashbourne GOLF CLUB

Ashbourne Golf Club was formed in 1886 and is the oldest golf club in Derbyshire with a well deserved reputation as one of the friendliest clubs in the county.

Set in open countryside on the edge of the Peak District National Park , one mile from the picturesque market town of Ashbourne, the 18 hole course offers spectacular views of Ashbourne, Dovedale, Thorpe Cloud, Bunster Hill, the Weaver Hills and the surrounding countryside.

The course is consistently rated as one of the top three courses in Derbyshire and the September 2019 edition of Todays Golfer rated it in its list of “Must Play Courses in the East Midlands and the East of England”.

Ashbourne Golf Club has hosted many prestigious events including the Derbyshire Open; Derbyshire Professional Championship; County matches and this year hosts the Midlands Qualifier for the England Golf Boys Championship. Greens have been constructed to USGA specification allowing the great benefit of all year round use. The most striking feature of the course ,other than the spectacular scenery, is the fact that every hole is different, with four of the best par 5’s you could wish for, two of which are included in perhaps the best four finishing holes in the county.

Ashbourne really is worth a visit and the welcome you will receive from members and staff alike, will guarantee you a golfing day to remember.
