THE PLAYERS CLUB

Sitituated just one mile from junction 18 of the M4 (Bristol/Bath) on the outskirts of Bristol bordering Wiltshire and Gloucestershire ‘The Players Club’ is dedicated to golf.

With two 18 hole courses and an 18 hole Par 3 course, together with first class practice facilities it has become home to many golf professionals competing on the European tours. We have staged 9 SKY televised Europro events, 11 Stage 1 Europro Q School, 8 West Region PGA championships and 3 English Over 48s championship as well as regional finals for many top amateur and professional events. In 2025 we will host stage 1 of the DP World Tour Q-School for the sixth time.

The club opened in 2002 and was quickly ranked 113 in the Golf World 2006 ‘Best Courses in Great Britain and Ireland’. All the courses have been built to the finest specifications with USGA greens, fairway irrigation and a rich landscape with woodland, lakes and gorse all coming into play. The courses are designed by Adrian Stiff.

With 29 rooms on-site and a further 20 at Canons Court Mews, we can cater for stay and play breaks. One night stays with a breakfast and two rounds start at £129. We can tailor any package and use many of the existing or local courses for your break. On-site at The Players Club we have Sky Sports and BT Sports in the bar. We have a games room with Pool and Bar Billiards and two golf simulators.

Its flagship Codrington course, is designed to test you, thrill you and frustrate in equal measure, with the Stranahan course requiring positional play and is ideal for higher handicappers, ladies and seniors. Chipping Sodbury high street is ten minutes away and a great night out.
